Snorkeling is
quickly becoming one of the most popular water sport activities especially
in resort areas. This exciting sport is easy to learn, inexpensive,
an does not require you to be an Olympic swimmer to participate. In
fact, today’s equipment allows people of almost any age and ability
to participate and experience the sheer joy of the beauty found only
beneath the water’s surface. The Snorkeling course consists of
a short dry land session where you will see an audiovisual about how
to use the equipment, safety procedures, and what you will encounter
in the underwater world. At this time, you will learn to adjust your
equipment and will have the opportunity to draw on the personal experience
of your instructor. Following this short session you will be ready to
jump in our pool. In the water, your instructor demonstrates how to
use the equipment. Safety is emphasized, and you are given ample opportunity
to practice each skill until you feel good venturing out on your own.
